The Gran Juvé & Camps is a grand reserve brut cava made with a blend of xarel·lo and chardonnay from Can Rius in Espiells, macabeo from the La Cuscona estate and parellada from Can Massana, in Mediona.
Aged on its lees for 42 months, it is produced only in exceptional vintages and, since its first vintage in 1972, it has been considered an emblematic cava, among other factors for being produced from grapes selected from the best vineyards that the firm owns in the upper Penedès, from soils with singular edaphological characteristics, which give it a unique character.
Golden in colour with hints of new gold, its aromatic expression highlights the aromatic freshness, with notes of white flowers and stone fruits, which coexist with complex nuances typical of a long-aged cava: toasted bread, spices, honey, nuts and smoke. The palate is intense, quite dry, seductive and pleasant, with creamy sensations and a long persistence of fruity memories.
A perfect balance between the ripening of the grape in terms of complexity, structure and freshness and its 42-month ageing in stacks, make it a sparkling wine that exudes freshness, complexity and elegance, the hallmarks of Juvé & Camps. Being a very unique product, it is capable of enhancing the flavours of countless dishes; its lactic notes and, above all, the hints of nuts such as almonds and walnuts allow it to harmonise perfectly with meats, fish and even pastries.
